Remote Education Offer at Brays Special School
At Brays Special School, we are dedicated to ensuring that all children have access to high-quality education, regardless of whether they are learning in school or remotely. Our remote education offer is designed to be inclusive and tailored to meet the diverse needs of our children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
Situations Requiring Remote Education
- Pandemic or Health Crisis:
- During outbreaks of infectious diseases (e.g., COVID-19), schools may need to close temporarily or limit in-person attendance to ensure the safety of students and staff.
- Self-Isolation:
- If a child is required to self-isolate due to exposure to a contagious illness, remote education allows them to continue learning while at home.
- School Closure:
- In cases of severe weather, natural disasters, or other emergencies that necessitate the temporary closure of the school, remote education can ensure continuity of learning.
- Individual Health Needs:
- Children with chronic health conditions or disabilities that prevent them from attending school regularly may benefit from a remote education offer tailored to their specific needs.
- Exclusions or Suspensions:
- If a child is temporarily excluded from school, remote education should be provided to ensure they continue their learning during their exclusion period.

For many of our children, sensory stories are a fantastic way for families to share stories. These can be done at home with whatever materials you have around the house. For advice and guidance, a great website to use is www.bagbooks.org .
