Uniform

There is an official school uniform which we do expect pupils to wear. The uniform list will be provided to new parents/carers. Uniform can be purchased for school from our uniform provider, details of which will be given to parents/carers when admission to school is agreed. Our uniforms are chosen to be comfortable, practical, and appropriate.

In line with statutory guidance from the Department for Education on the cost of school uniform, our school has a duty to ensure the uniform we require is affordable.

We understand that items with distinctive characteristics, such as branded items, or items that have to have a school logo or a unique fabric/colour/design, cannot be purchased from a wide range of retailers and that requiring many such items limits parents’ ability to ‘shop around’ for a low price.

We therefore recommend:

Light blue or white short sleeve polo shirt. (no need for school logo)

Blue sweat shirt. (no need for logo)

Trousers or skirts but not jeans.

Please shop around to find the best value for money as parents/carers.

Please contact school if you require support.

For parents/carers wanting logos on the uniform:

Parents/Carers are asked to supply their child with a clearly named PE kit and if required as part of the school’s curriculum offer, they may need a swimming costume and towel for swimming sessions.

If parents/carers feel that their child may require a change of clothes during the school day, the school is happy to keep a spare set of school uniform. A limited amount of clothing is kept in school for emergency purposes. Soiled items of clothing are securely bagged in school and returned to parents/carers at the end of the day. All clothing should be clearly labelled with the child’s name.
